TYM T264 with loader and implements
I know this post is self serving, but I am still going to ask. I have had several people post on my YouTube channel, saying they used my videos as a tool in buying a LS Tractor. My question is this. Do videos influence your buying choice? How did you hear about LS Tractor the first time? What won you over to LS Tractor? How did you do research?

No. I never do any videos anywhere for any reason.

I don't remember ... it might have been from here or just a general search.

Overall value. Plus I just like to be different.

I don't watch videos. My LS tractor is a Kubota. Why? I've dealt with the local LS dealer before. He is a SLEAZE!! If we had a reputable dealer locally I probably would have gone LS as I think they're a great value. Actually I think Kioti would be a good value as well but we have nothing even resembling a local dealer. I do my own maintenance but having a dealer nearby can be important in times of serious trouble as well as the once in a great while warranty stuff.

Sorry but I haven't seen your videos. I'm not a big you tube watcher.
I bought my LS for the following reasons.
1) Wanted a cab tractor w/ heat and AC. I went to the local farm show and saw LS was a vendor there and had the best price of all the brands I checked out.
2) Researched LS and found they have been building tractors for many companies for many years.
3) LS tractors come with more standard features that others charge extra for.
I'm still happy with my LS after 5 years ownership.

Thank you. There was not much about LS on YouTube 5 years ago. Your information is good to know.

Cheapest backhoe option I could find. Been happy with it.

When I got super frustrated with the local (only ones) Kubota and JD being high priced, everything was an 'extra', and over all arrogant attitudes, I started searching the web for other tractors. I first found a Massey dealer on the west side of the state, then a Mahindra dealer in Pheonix. Both of them couldn't make a 'good' deal.

I was researching tractor dealers up in the Denver CO. area, found a Massey dealer there who was at least competitive. I basically stumbled across an LS dealer down the street from them. I never heard of LS before. The dealer was a start-up, only about a year old. They beat the Massey's price by a grand, plus the LS had more features. I bought the MT125 TLB sight unseen 550 miles away.

I was so impressed with the little MT125, when it was time to upgrade in size for my needs, I didn't even bother searching the other brands....just looked for the best price for my XG3025 TLB. I'm just as impressed with it.

I was shopping the NH Workmaster 25s and then found out that it was basically the same as the MT125 by researching here. There wasnt much out there for the 25s review wise other than the typical dealer videos. I used your website/channel as a tool to see if I wanted to go the NH route and spend a lot more but have a dealer 40 minutes away OR go with the MT-125 via internet sale, save $7k, but have no local dealer support. As someone who preaches buy and support local, I had a moral dilemma to consider. $7k can buy a bunch of implements and the machine is fairly simple. Im somewhat competent with a wrench so minor service isnt an issue but Im really working without a net if a major failure happens. So yes, your videos influenced my decision to buy LS.

This might get long. Fair warning, but here is my story, including why I started making my tractor videos, which apparently have also helped people with their decision.

I needed a tractor several years ago, but was getting by with a big Yamaha Grizzly 660 ATV for snow plowing and light work around the house. A very close friend of mine, loaned me his tractor from time to time, a 30hp Mahindra. But it was always a hassle loading it up and trailering it back and fourth. He never seemed to mind, he only ever really uses it in the winter anyway. But it wasn't MY tractor. When it came close to buckling down and buying a tractor, I asked my friend where he got this Mahindra, since it was affordable and seemed like a solid tractor. He took me to the same, small 'mom-and-pop' dealer he used.

Cascade Tractor in Spokane. Dealer in Massey Ferguson, Branson, this odd LS Tractor, and Mahindra. But, the owner informed me that he is no longer going to be dealing with Mahindra. He didnt tell me why.

I've never heard of LS until this day. But I am not brand loyal, open to anything.
The dealer told me that LS is a relatively new tractor company, whos parent company is LG, the same LG as kitchen appliances, and everything else. Based out of Korea, but are really exceptional tractors. He quoted me a price for that tractor in the photo and I thanked him for his time. That was late 2014.

Over the years, I spoke with several different dealers about several different tractors. I did my due diligence, read up on everything I could, joined this forum, etc. Even went to the new Mahindra dealer and spoke to them. Growing up on the farm back home, we only used New Holland and John Deere. So, of course my family would tell me to get a little JD. But here is what I learned from all my dealings with these different manufactures:

JD - over priced, way outside my price range for what I wanted compared to the others
NH - Same as JD
Mahindra - Good little tractors, but not the same as my friends. They seemed to go down in quality and up in price since he bought his.
Kubota - Great tractor, expensive price tag, few features
Branson - Simple tractor, no extra features, good price
Koiti - lol no. Drove about an hour and a half to a 'dealer' who showed me a tractor that was not... good. I dont know. Just seemed off.
Massey Ferguson - Good tractors, expensive.
LS - Good tractor, great features and extras, decent price tag.

The Branson, MF, and LS were at the same dealer, but I never really spoke to him about those brands. In fact, I didnt speak to that dealer since that one afternoon back in 2014. All my research was done online. And that LS, it kept coming back.
A part of my research was watching videos. You get a solid mix of "reviews" from just about all the brands. Many videos shows people hating their tractor because of this is broken or that is messed up, etc. Then you get the others who love their tractor and nothing will ever go wrong with it, ever. The JD guys, who spent more that everyone else combined, fiercely defend their purchasing decision, and of course, their tractor is 'the best.'

I kept searching YouTube for LS tractors, I wanted..., needed to see these LS tractors preform, what real people were saying about them. I remember yelling at the screen "SHOW ME THE DASH!" or "DRIVE THOUGH SOME MUD!" or "GET A BETTER ANGLE OF THAT!" I needed to see these things. There were a few videos, but not many. And by now, I was focusing on which model I wanted. The LS XR4040 (If memory serves) without a cab. That was the tractor I wanted. 40hp, bigger than my friends because I can, its a beefy tractor. Then... I heard about their engine going into regen every 10 minutes....

I didn't know much about this regen thing. When I was on the farm, the EPA mostly kept their noses out of the tractor world. What is a regen? Why should I care? DPF??? I did some digging. Learned about these Diesel Particulate Filters, these regeneration cycles and how they work. Some people were upset at this Shibarua diesel engine in the XR4040 and their every 5hr regeneration cycles. But, okay, you don't need to stop work every 5 hours. It really not noticeable when your actually working the tractor. But then, LS did something I wasn't expecting.

LS made the XR41 series. Same tractor, different engine. The use the new and improved LS made engine. They claimed 50 hours between regen cycles. I changed my mind. I want this new and improved tractor... but in 45hp! Of course, I YouTubed it. Couldn't find it, for a long time. But it was new to the market. Give it some time. A few popped up here and there, but it was variants, if memory serves. Everyone seemed happy..., mostly. Ok, time to put my money down. Loaded up the wife and visited Cascade Tractor on a Friday afternoon.

I was focused on the XR4145, the gear driven one, without a cab. I live in the woods, and figured branches would break the glass. Besides, I'm not made of money and cabs are expensive. I didn't want they hydrostatic drive either, because, well, I just don't like them. I prefer gear driven. So I sat down with the dealer, he of course didn't have any in stock, only these smaller ones. He penciled about the XR4145 for me and it was a good price. He asked me about the cab model, and I told him why I wasn't considering it. He then told me that he has actually sold a few of these cab model LS tractors around the area. Only had to fix one, when the operator didn't close the door while driving through a gate. Branches are not really a concern, and the cab is nicer in the winter months.
"Okay, whats the added cost?" ... Now, honesty, I don't remember what the added cost was. I just remember thinking: 'oh wow. That's really nothing more!' We then added a few implements (because what is a tractor without implements?) and in about 2 weeks, he delivered my new LS XR4145C in April 2018.

I decided to start making YouTube videos the day the tractor showed up. I was so excited to show it off. No one on YouTube (that I was aware of) had this tractor. So I filmed it in hopes that I could educate someone else, maybe, on the features of this tractor. I had some horrible videos up before I got my tractor, no real views or subscribers. After I posted that tractor video, and more after, my channel has steadily grown. It's not huge by any means, and I don't push out content on a regular basis. I am a 'one-man-show' where filming and editing all take away from working. But I still try.

That is why A) I bought an LS. B) Watch YouTube about LS. And C) Make my own YouTube videos.

I watched every review video I could find before buying. To validate the research I'd already done. The specs are just better than all the same size by the competitors, and lower price. My two main reasons for buying

Because the Wife said "You've worked hard all your life so buy exactly what you want"...and I did. No regrets.

I did fairly extensive research; internet, you tube, forums, test drives, brochures, comparisons with other brands, talked to other owners, talked to dealer, etc... Spent a couple of months doing my research. It all played a part in my decision. Reliability, dealer support, price/value, features, performance, fit and finish, ease of maintenance, and ergonomics were all considerations. In the end, LS was the best fit for what I wanted and needed. I chose the XG3037 with dual remotes and rear work light and am very happy with my decision. 680 plus hours and still love every hour in the seat.

I should have added...I first became aware of LS when I passed a LS dealer and noticed the tractors. Thought the tractors looked great and decided to add LS to my research list.

I bought sight unseen over the phone. I reached out to John Deere and Kubota and received lukewarm responses and total uninterest from both. My LS Dealer answered all my questions, sent brochures and videos of what he could offer. I was impressed and said bring it out. He delivered it at no charge 125 miles thru the mountains.

Last night, he drove thru the worse blizzard of the year to do a computer software upgrade and to drop off my new Erskine 48" Pallet Forks, again at no charge.

I have also bought all my attachments from him and have been impressed with every one of them.

I came across them randomly while visiting an uncle in WI. My son & I went for breakfast & passed a dealership. He's 4 and wanted to sit on one of those blue tractor he saw out the window. I'd been researching for a while, and the local John Deere and Kabota dealer both had already delivered tractors to my property to demo. I had priced those two brands, plus Mahindra & the New Holland dealer which is in my home town. My uncle explained to me that the LS was the exact same tractor as the new Holland. Built in the same place, with a lot of the same features, the same engine, just a different loader. That peeked my interest. I went home and straight to the new Holland dealer. From what I could tell he was right. That started my research over again. And the Internet, and YouTube videos, where an important part of that.
In the end I bought the LS, and had it delivered to my place (200 miles) for far less than the equivalent NH. And WAY less than the JD, Kubota.

Next time you go to an NH dealer, look at the same size machine you have and you'll probably see an LS Mtron tag on it somewhere. LS makes many of the NH units with the biggest difference being the shade of paint.

Prior to deciding a new tractor was needed, I was using a 1985 JD 950, which I still have and use. As the local JD dealer sold out to a mega dealer, and my long time sales guy retired, I thought I would most likely go Kubota this time. The price and the sales team changed my mind pretty quickly. That in no indictment of either brand, love them both, just wasn’t feeling it with the the sales teams that work there.

Started reading up on other brands on this web site, and after trying out Branson, case, NH, Mahindra etc, I narrowed it down to Kioti, and LS. I liked them both a lot, and still do. I just happened to be on the LS lot of a new dealer, who really wanted to sell a machine that day, as he had a large supply on his lot. He made me a sweet offer I could not refuse, and I bought a g3033h.

That was in 2012, and since that time, this tractor, a tier 3, has never been back to the shop, nor ever had an issue of any kind. I did end up replacing the crappy seat with a suspension seat after a few weeks of enduring the jolts though.
I don’t have any desire for a new tractor these days, but if I did, I would again start the search with the Kioti and LS dealer

Rgr33, do you have a link to the seat you got? I suspect it'd fit my g3038 as well.

You are the reason I bought an LS MT125! I saw you doing tasks on Youtube that I wanted to be able to do. Your video's convinced me that it was a good machine.
I also really appreciate your videos on things not to do and safety related matters. Never owned a tractor before and I am 70++++ so do not need to get hurt.
Also your maintenance videos are great - I should be able to do a lot myself.
