I suggest you test tow the tractor long before you need to, to see how it's going to handle.
I can from experience say that I have towed hundreds of vehicles, but the one day I had tractor in tow, it was a whole different story.
The tractor had a wide front end.
It was a Massey 65 I believe from the mid 50's I used to own.
If I recall, I got up to about 30 mph, and the tractor had a whole different idea.
This was a major tow truck and sling, and the tractor was taking control.
I'll let members guess the real cause.
I think the clue is, if the top speed of tractor is 16 mph, then that's your tow speed.
The only place you see tractors keep up with traffic is in the German countryside of Europe.
Come to think about it, you never see tractors with main landing gear on the ground being towed on the road.
Probably for the reason I just explained.
Get a trailer, tilt back that other creative things can be done with it. It will outlast anything you will ever own.
And you won't be paying out some lawsuit for killing a few that got in the way.
Or cough up 14 times that for a used rolloff.
This trailer style is usually low profile and keeps the center of gravity low. 14 Foot will just about cover most items.
I'm not sure if my friends have photos of the incident, but I'm sure the insurance co, and the Police do of the idiot who lost control on a curve with too small a truck, probably a truck rated as a car of the 150 series w/o brakes rated for towing a trailer with machine and no brakes on it as it took off the whole rear addition to their house where their daughter was sleeping.
Some never think before it's major.
