Why do I see HP listed as 37.5 and 38.5 for the 2605?

traded MF135 for a 2605 4x4 &added a Mahindra eMax 22HST
Just wondering why I see both and which is correct?

There are generally several HP's listed for an Ag tractor; the max Hp of the engine at the engine ouput shaft; the pto HP at 540 pto rpm; drawbar hp(drawbar force x velocity /550) and this is determined by test.

tractordata.com says the MF2605 has 38 Hp at the engine and 32 hp at the pto with live pto and 30 hp with independent pto.

Just a thought. Could those differences by 1HP be in regards to hydrostatic and gear driven?

No, as the 2605 only has manual trans available. A brochure from MF lists 38.5 in 2 places so guess that is the correct # for the current model.
