You guys are great... appreciate all the comments...
All the info I posted was from the Dealer Ad which I am always suspect... this is where the axle ratio and tow capacity is listed...
Checked it out real good last night...
Little rough at cold start for the first minute which came as a surprise... then smoothed out.
Had two owners... it was a lease and then owned by a tile contractor and the bed liner has many holes with bits of tile and sand under the liner...
It definitely has seen some time earning it's keep...
Per the Dealer it was traded in on a brand new GMC 2500...
I like the GMC myself and have had great service from my two Chevrolets...
The King Ranch is my brother's idea... he spends a lot of time on jobsites and business meetings...
Looks like he will pass on this one since he keeps a vehicle 10 years or longer and business use part would be a write off...
Still takes me back to see the MSRP of pickups he is looking at in the $50,000 to $70,000 range...
Again heavy towing is what his current vehicle lacks and tongue load is the weak link...
Last month he rented a medium size
chipper and couldn't hitch up with his current vehicle as the receiver is well under the bumper... there are long draw bar options and the manufacturer said not to use and the tongue weight limit probably due to the air bag suspension on the Range Rover...
