I wasn't bashing the other tractors just sharing the info I found out. I was a little surprised at the capacity difference between the two thats all and I was totally shocked at the fact that I could only get two rear remotes on a gear drive as opposed to three. Thought that kind of info might help others that where considering purchasing a new tractor. If your so happy with your Deere why are you in the Buying/Pricing a Kubota forum? Maybe a little orange Envy?:D Sorry if anyones feelings where hurt that was not my intension's.

Nope - no envy at all. I really don't care what other people own. I just didn't really see the point of your post at all....to me, the dealer is equally as important as the equipment. Generally, you can find the performance you desire with any of the manufacturers.

In fact, to me, your post sounds a bit like you're insecure about your choice so you needed self justification for buying it...

But me? No, no, no...I need nothing more than toys alone as reason enough to buy a green tractor....not to mention the availability of bazillions of licensed products with that leaping deer logo...so that I can be fashion coordinated while operating the tractor...

It's frustrating when a thread tries to start a silly brand war, and it just doesn't work out...

...I used to own an NH - but the dealer's stock of NH toys wasn't very good. So I had to go look for another brand. The Kubota dealer didn't stock toys....I had no where left but the green dealer...you guys do get self deprecating humor?....I guess not so much...

Brand war? I've never said anything pro or con about orange tractors or green tractors in any of my posts. I've only said the green dealer has better toys...that's just a fact.

I've been around these forums for a while now and I don't get the impression the OP was trying to 'start' anything. First off, he posted in the Kubota forum, not in the general forums. He seems excited about the specs of the Kubota he's looking at and not beating up on the others. Sometimes its the folks that get their back up when someone points out a weakness in their chosen brand that gets the feathers flying. He also seems to be new to all this, and most of us have been there too and know what its like. It was a while before I knew what a rear remote was. I also remember focusing on certain specs that turned out not as important as I thought they would be.

I think mentioning the dealer is important. But I disagree whole heartedly that all the big brands are the same, just a different color. It isn't true. The range of specs and designs is pretty disparate among brands and quality is too. And quality can even be an issue between different models within a brand.

I was initially extremely disappointed with NH's. It was a combination of problems the biggest two of which were that 1) the dealer I went to was not interested in selling me a tractor, to the point of rudeness and 2) at that time, NH did not make anything to compete with Kubota's L4400. They had much nicer tractors in that HP range, but nothing comparable in the price range.

And, quite frankly, I don't think there is anything wrong with getting excited about the brand that you chose to buy. Its a natural thing and if it wasn't real, there wouldn't be so many folks with green hats, t-shirts, bed sheets, welcome mats and kiddy toys.

My biggest complaint with Kubota is that they are the industry follower in kitch! If they made a die cast L4400 model, I'd buy one in a minute!:D And if my kids were little I'd get that orange pedal toy too.

This will be my last post on this thread as I dont want to be responsible for any grown man crying himself to sleep tonight. NO I was not trying to start any type of brand war. I only responded that way because I felt like I was being attacked. I only posted this in the Kubota forums. I dont really care what you own or how many t-shirts you have or toy tractors. Did any of you know that you could only get 2 rear remotes on a NH gear drive tractor? I had no idea, sorry if that was stupidity on my part. I also apologize for your stupidity by misinterpreting my original post. You wont find me trolling around the deer forums. I was impressed with my sales man at NH and wish it fit my needs but it dosnt. I've said enough, respond if you must I will just sit here and laugh for now on. Thanks to those that had enough brain power to understand.

Folks, I don't see any reason for anyone to get upset, so please remember to be courteous. Don't forgt that disagreements with opinions are fine, but personal attacks are not. I think we all know that the reason there are so many different brands and models is because different people prefer (or need) different equipment for different uses. It should really make no difference to anyone whether you decide on a particular tractor because the specifications are more to your liking, or whether you decide on a particular one because of the color, or because it's more comfortable.:D

AFISH, no reason for you to apologize. When I decided to spend my money on a new tractor I was open to all colors. When I sat in a NH the first thought was wow this is unconfortable. When I saw the hydraulic lines hanging under the tractor my thought was I wouldn't hire thier engineers. Then thr time spent figuring out who builds what on the tractor. Took NH off of my list. By the way, I just love my new M9540 :D

I looked at a NH 26 horse and saw the mmm was better built and the seat was much better than my Kubota 7510. My wheel fell off twice cause the weld broke and the wheels suck on my Kubota mmm. NH was much more though.
