I bought one for my 2605H from the local dealer for under $100 a few years ago and just checked the *bay site, they have one for around $72.

That is a crazy price. $50 for the heater, rest for the name. Same as a thread here awhile back, they wanted $400 or more for a couple of wheel bearings on a bat wing mower. Here's a few for frost plugs for comparison:

That's just price gouging. My dealer threw mine in for free.
So did mine, a guy bought my tractor new from the dealer and had a block heater installed, when he came to pickup tractor he decided it was to small so he traded it in, when I wanted a tractor I was going to buy it but when he showed me the price he had a block heater in it, I told him I keep it in a heated garage I don’t need a block heater I can wait for you to get another tractor in, he took it off the price then.

You wanna talk price gouging, my dealer gave me all the parts and service manuals on a thumb drive for my new K-Connect and blower and he said Kubota wants $800 Canadian now for a printed manual!!!!!

I have a story of not price gouging, I bought a EU6500is generator for our food truck March 9th 2012 for $3649.00 plus tax

A week ago today or about 12 years and 8 months later with 5203 hours on the meter the generator broke. I called a Honda dealer about 1/2 hour away and a new EU7000 is $3999.00 plus tax, not a bad price for almost 13 years later.
