Ohhh…… boy do I remember the 95 degree days on our farm , stacking bales to the roof in the haymows of our bank barns… was a great way to lose weight..Candidly, I wasn't aware that anyone used Sisal today. Always ran poly when I had my long gone NH 565. Just the thought of small squares makes me perspire....![]()
Thanks for that information. My New Holland made those cutoffs and I never knew why. It seldom missed a bale and I left well enough alone.That little 2-4" piece is the loop that is cut off every time a bale is tied off.
New Holland and John Deere are the ones that do it because they use the Deering style knotter. The McCormick knotter doesn’t leave any waste bits.
