Why no ag tires on the 2000 series?

They might not have been offered from the beginning but R4s are presently available on JDParts for x55.

I had not noticed they added R4's to JD Parts. Thanks, good to know. The first use of R4's on JD compacts I was aware of was on the 4100 in 1997, so it is possible some of the late x55 tractors might have had them. The 4100 was introduced about a year ahead of the rest of the new 4000 series and offered the same size R4 as now shown in JD Parts for the x55. Also possible they were simply added years later to JD Parts which I'm only guessing might be more likely.

Yeah, that's a bar turf. Great tires...had 'em on my old 670.
Pretty common on garden tractors, IIRC. I don't know if they're still available for subCUTs. The bar turf would be a good tire for them.

I think you can get them on some Kubota B's, but not the BX...

I have ags and turfs for my 2210. Turfs are on spring/summer/fall for mowing. Ags go on with loader and backblade for snow removal. I move firewood from 'the pile' to my house every 2-3 weeks during the winter and I have to go through 200 feet of yard and snow to get the wood. With the turfs I could not go through more then 4-6 inches of snow, they would spin out quickly. With the ags I can push through 18+ inches, front tires are almost under, front axle and transaxle dragging, but the ags have never left me stuck, they just keep digging. I have found they work extremely good when I need to use the loader to push back the snow piles, too.

For my little sub-CUT, bar tires work wonders.

MY 2210 came with Ag tires back in 03 or so, and I do mostly tilling in loose dirt, loader work, and snow work and they are awesome.

As a matter of fact there have wet days when I was able to move rock piles better and faster with the 2210 than the bobcat....
