Why should I not buy a Cub Cadet EX vs a JD or Kubota

I looked at the cub too.
The price difference between it and the Kubota L3400 was $400.
A couple of things that I saw--
Cub was same price regardless of tire type, Foldable or rigid ROP.
Kubota Tires are different price, and same for ROP.

The cub was $16K and the Kubota was $16400
(Kubota had a foldable ROP and AG tires, All others were more $)
In the end I liked the way the kubota HST worked, and specs seems better too...

Lift Capacity at full height
(measured at pivot), 1503 lb.
(measured at 500 mm ahead of pivot), 1186 lb.

Lift Capacity (24-in. behind link arms), 1435 lb.
Lift Capacity @ lift link ends, 1998 lb.


anyway-- Kubota lists for the $18K figure, but never pay list- find another dealer! I did and dropped $1600.

Have to say that I was pretty surprised when I saw the 3 pt lift difference between the L3400 and the Cub. It's pretty significant. Don't think tht the Cub would be able to lift the round bales I've been lifting with my L3400.
