I just purchased a 6ft box blade "County Line" from TSC and I find out that I need a 4" long pin for the top link. Already I've got a 6ft Walco rotary cutter for which I need a 3" long pin so I'm confused because I tought the 3pth is standard for all implements; not only for size of the pin of the pins but also for the pin length. I attached some pictures for reference.

It is standard for each of the classes of 3pt. your likely looking at the difference between class 2 and class 3 hitch setup.

class 0 -garden tractor, class 1 subcompact, class 2 normal for most CUT and small AG, class3 med AG and up

No, this is not true. Within each class of implements, i.e. class 1 or 2, there is variation for top link pin length. I know this because I have several cat 1 implements and a shorter pin will not work for all of them, despite being the correct width or thickness (girth, if you will!) The best thing to do is just get a pin long enough to work for all implements and use that one- too long is fine, too short isn't. I'll refrain from making a joke on that one.

Both implements which I've got are for category 1 hitch as I can installed on my L3940. The question is why the lenght for the top pin is different?

I found the same thing as remington270 with my attachments, however the whole thing looks a little twisted. Any chance the two arms that go to the rear of the implement fit better on the outside of the two vertical arms? Your shorter pin migh be close to fitting then.

I already tried that, doesn't work; the bends from the rear arms will interfere with the bends from vertical arms.

If you purchased those implements new they should have come with the correct pins for that implement. Every attachment that I have bought new I made sure correct pins came with it whether it was a bush-hog,PHD or whatever. Now if you bought used thats a different storie.
I also on top center link depending on implement have used big thick bolts/washers in a bind. :2cents:

Diameter is standard, length of pin can vary with different manufacturers.
