I seem to be having some problems with this site. Can someone explain why my thread was closed. Have i done something wrong in posting? Seems like a fun site, with my getting a new tractor and all. Sure could use some help with the tractor and with the site. Thanks. Joe

Got me. Can't say I see anything wrong with the one that is closed. Maybe they goofed when they merged the two together. Like jbrumberg said, keep on posting.

The one post shows a pointer to the merged together post, but that post is closed. I bet it was just closed by accident.

I'm not a moderator here but from what I can see, you started 3 threads. At least 2 of those 3 were started in the Buying/Pricing/Comparision forum. Based on the duplicate posts you made, 1 post was probably in another general forum. Two of those three threads were duplicates and merged together into one thread (posting times for identical posts were about 10 minutes apart) inside the Buying/Pricing/Comparision forum.joetria said:

joetria: I know it seems like a reasonable idea to post your questions in many forums if you're eager for an answer, but that makes the site pretty crowded with a lot of similar information. The regulars here always seem to look at posts in their areas of expertise, so the mods put things where they fit best. Don't be offended, they're just trying to keep things easier for everyone to keep track of. I know I often forget where I have been part of a discussion if threads have similar titles, so I rely on the little flags to let me know if I've posted in that thread or not. There are much more sophisticated ways of keeping track of several conversations at the same time, but it works for me.
At any rate, keep posting and reading, and pretty soon you'll be among those who seem to have the answers to the questions most commonly asked.

Thanks to everyone. I may get it right yet. Well, my tractor is not being delivered on Saturday. It's coming on Friday. I need some assistance. I had ordered a thumb, but it didn't get shipped so i requeted that it be delivered and i will have it installed her. What do you recommend? Thank you for your help. Joe
