Im thinking since the revision of the tax code (SUV's that handle 6000 GVWR) that enabled you to write off 100% of the purchase price - With passage of the Jobs and Growth Act, Congress dramatically expanded the already generous SUV loophole by raising the deduction ceiling for certain purchases-including SUVs-from $25,000 to $100,000...
They have since lowered it back down to $25k....
I have no doubt that effected the H1 directly and others....the price of oil just put the nail in the coffin....I have to admit I capitalized on this with my 2004 Navi -

Hi, I just have to say I think the hummer is a waste of money even if your rich or not. The best 4 wheel drive off road vehicle I think is the Unimog 4x4 truck. Built better then the Hummer any day.
