why wouldn't you want to buy a kioti?

i love them, all the tractors are #1 or close to #1 when comparing statistics to other tractor brands. not to mention the fair price and loads of standard features.

I did buy one, but I wouldn't buy one for the same reason that I did not buy another brand... I was not happy with the dealers. They kept trying to put me in a sub-compact when I told them that ground clearance would be an issue and that I would be installing over 300' of driveway.

With no dealers in my area. The closest dealer would have been over 150 miles from me. And while the Kioti I am sure is a good tractor I am not fond of the weight for mowing on my lawn. I needed 30 hp for other purposes but my majority was mowing. Would I buy one if I was mostly doing loader work, yes and only if there was a dealer in the area.

It is a good question. I have more than a few type of tractors - Fords, Kubotas, JDs. I wanted/needed a 50hp cab tractor a couple of years back and started looking with the big guys. I really liked the ford TN series and also the kubota, but I wasn't overly fond of the price. I then looked at the Kioti dk55c and really started comparing the bits and pieces - like the roll cage as one example. Once I started noticing little and big differences - convinced my self that this is a good tractor - I started checking out Kioti. Where are the dealers; how long in service in the US; anyone I know with Kiotis - the basic questions. The answers came out in Kioti's favor for me...

I'm quite happy with my tractor and hope to see Kioti improve and grow over the next 20-30 years.

Well, as an owner of a CK30 HST, I can still name a few reasons why I wouldn't buy one given certain circumstances. As already mentioned, if the primary purpose is for mowing, there are much lighter alternatives. Second, dealer support in a given area may not be that great. Third, as also mentioned resale value can be considerably lower in certain areas (I would expect most) of the country. This can be a big problem if your primary purpose is to help to prep work for a new homesite and you may not need it as much after or as is the case with what seems like half of TBN'er they want to trade up to a larger machines in a few years. Lastly, as has been reported buy a few people, prices in their local are really no better than those of the majors. Now,

Because, with the exception of the FEL, all the attachments are on the wrong end!

When I was in the market for a tractor last spring I looked at all the major players and feature for feature the Kioti came out on top. I wanted a tractor with some weight, very important as far as I'm concerned for field work, and my DK 45 does have some weight, but most farmers in this area would still call it a toy. I don't care about resale value although I do think that will improve as the Kioti name becomes more common throughout the US. So for me there was no reason not to buy a Kioti.
