Why Yanmar 3TNE74 rated at different HP?

I've searched all over tractorbynet.com so forgive me if I'm repeating a previous thread.....

I was wondering why a 2210 with Yanmar 3TNE74 is rated for more HP than a 4110 with the same engine? I read on tractorbynet.com that the two tractors share the same engine, so if that is incorrect I appologize in advance.

I know the HP ratings are at different RPM's, but I'm just wondering if Yanmar built an engine to go 3000 RPM (or even 3600 according to their website) why doesn't Deere make the higher RPM's available on the 4110? Maybe the extra HP doesn't yield any more torque?

This is a very good question, and I am not sure of the answer, but my feeling is that torque is the important fact here. Horsepower seems to sell garden tractors and sub-compacts, so I suspect John Deere with its 595 and 2210 are trying to compete with other companies' offerings in these areas. Since most of them rate their machines at higher RPM's and most have 22+ hp, they would be remiss to not do so. In CUT, torque rules, so the engine ratings are changed more to that format. Also, the tractor does not NEED to run as fast, because of the heavier duty and perhaps better ratioed transmissions. In addition, most 540 rpm PTO implements do not require 3000 rpms to run. In looking at the torque numbers, they are the same at the same RPM, so it is to me simply a rating game for marketing purposes (primarily for the benefit of the 595 and 2210). I am sure Yanmar and John Deere work closely together to ensure the RPM's and ratings coincide with the competition.
