My 23 yr old Wheel horse 520 finally "blanked" the bed and was shipped off to my sister-in-laws for her boys to have a "resurection Project" this summer.
I am now without a tractor and not looking forward to spending 4+ hours cutting my lawn with a push mower, not to mention working on the rock wall.
With all this 0.0% financing going on, I will take the plung this spring for something that will last hopfully as long as my old Wheelhorse.
Currently the Kubota BX23 seems to fit the bill quite nicely, with a 54" mid mount mower and later this year I will get a snow blower. But, as you all know that is some serious "green stuff" to shell out for a machine. I know Kubota is the most popular small tractor around and so do the dealers.
My biggest concern is easy removability of a backhoe, FEL, and mower unit. The machine need to be able to be stored in my sheed which is only 12 feet deep with a doorway of 6' wide and 6' 6" tall. I most likly will have to remove the 3 pt. hitches to store it with the FEL on -or- I will have to remove the FEL everytime I put it away (which would be a daily occurance). The Kubota seems to have a very user frendly implement removal process ... but I do like the size of the CK20 (or even a CK25) better. My concern with the Kioti is that the removal of the FEL or MMM would be a nightmare. And the backhoe unit with its subframe seems to be a major project in itsself.
How easy/difficult is it for you folks to remove/attach the implements (especially the backhoe) to your small Kioti's?
I know that the backhoe can not be used with the MMM (which the BX23 can do), but if removing/installing the backhoe would take less than an hour to do easily then I would be very interested in the Kioti.
I live just east of Concord NH and see that there are a few dealers around me (Allenstown being the closest) and KiotiDave about an hour & 1/2 away. What dealers would you recommend (if you live in the NH area) to visit?
Also, what was the $$$ you folks paid for a CK20 with a backhoe (if you have one) and MMM?
Thanks.
