I pull a 12'5" boat, 13' total width on the 38' trailer, with no issues just using a couple of chase vehicles, spotters when backing up, and just the factory mirrors on my 06 F-350.

I really dont think you need to bother for just a one time trip.

Chris

Thanks Chris ... about a 5 hr trip and darn well need to see whats going on behind me. I've been searching the wide load regulations for Oklahoma and Missiouri Just in case this comes together.

over years i have seen a good amount of "replacement mirrors" that can be adjusted in/out with some set screws. problem is, the further those mirrors hang out, and the larger / heavier mirror you go with. larger chance if you hit a good wind or bump, you may tear up the door paneling that goes around the mirror connections, as the mirror begins to bounce and possibly fall off. but more likely begins sagging down.

not sure if it would count for laws, but video backup system. granted you will not be able to see down the sides of what ever you are hauling *shrugs*
