Goatman - Think of using a cheater bar to break a bolt loose. The longer the cheater bar, the more force you can put on the bolt. As you extend the wheels out, the longer length adds additional rotational force on the axle in a direction (up) it is not intended to rotate. That puts extra stress on the bearings.
On duals, by leaving the outside tire softer, that outer tire would add traction but the inner tire would be support the majority of the tractor weight. Make sense? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Is it possible to navigate those slopes up and down instead of going across them? In my case, it's more inconvenient (more turning), but much less stressful /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

The company I was thinking of is Unverferth. They make a T-rail system and a Wedg-Lok system for adding duals. I'd talk to them about your application. They might be able to tell you what kind of problems you'd encounter. If they tell you they'll sell you a kit but their responsibility extends only to the dual kit and not the potential damage to your tractor, that's a red flag.

Looks like you already found Unverferth. That's who I would talk to about duals. Considering the extra rims and tires, duals won't be cheap. Unverferth also makes wheel extenders.
