My L4400 has 5 rear tire setting widths. I can set them from 46.5" to 60.8". I would like to widen them for more stability.

My problem is that the Kubota manual says not to reverse the front wheels for wider thread. I hate to have the wheels at different widths leaving 2 sets of tracks everywhere I go and besides that, I don't know how to load it on my trailer with the 2 ramps if the tires are at different widths.

What have any of you done in this situation?

I've only had my L4400 for a couple weeks, but it doesn't look like the front wheel design will offer any width gain if reversed. Maybe a longtime owner can clarify that. As for the rears, mine are in the middle setting. I plan to move them out one setting. That will put the inside of the rear tire very close to the same width as the inside of the fronts. Unless your ramps are very narrow you shouldn't have an issue with them.

The L4400 with R1/AG can be swapped around in the front to make it wider but it is not recommended by Kubota to do so(the stress could damage the front axle). The rear tires on my tractor L4400HST are set to their widest and I like the stability that it offers. I dont know about loading the tractor configured this way but it may require wider ramps. Come to think about it I drove it off of the trailor when it arrived and the front tires were to inside of the ramp and the back tires were to the outside of the ramp(I ordered the tractor with the tires in the rear set to their widest setting).

I have an L4300--same thing--with ag tires. I set the rear at the 60.5" setting and the front so the inside edge of the front is in line with the inside edge of the rear. That's the way to set up for ag use. Since you can set your rears in five settings you must have ag tires so the above would be correct info. It's based on centerline.
This does not leave two sets of tracks but rather allows one to know where the rear tires will line up when in use. Put the inside edge of the front tire on the edge of an unmowed field, for example, and the rear lines up where the front is. Expecially good for cultivating.
