Yes it was TSC.. but it was a year or two ago.

Now the only one I see like that or similar is an electric one. The other one is a cone type.

Junk no sorry needed I was just funning with you . I assumed you were doing the same and even if not my skin is a little thicker than that so no sorry needed.

Several years ago we had some snow storms that dumped over a couple of feet of snow. This snow had to be shoveled off the driveway and piled up along the sides of the driveway. The piles were getting up to chest height when my aching back got tired of shoveling. I told the wife that we are getting a new snow blower tomorrow. Of course she got her back up and proceeded to tell me all the reasons we couldn't afford a new $1000 Snapper self-propelled 4-speed 2 stage snow blower. So I tell her that the cost of the snow blower is going to be a lot less than the cost of my first heart attack!!!

I got the new Snapper the next day, and she has never said another word about it. Of course it helped that I also blew the snow off of her parents driveway too./forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Soundboy, it worked better and faster that I thought possible.

Yesterday at lunch, I asked her if she was going to help me fertilize the yard between rain showers. She asked me, "Using what?", because she knew the old Agri-Fab tow-behind spreader had given up the ghost. When I explained that and it would have to be the Scott's walk behind broadcast spreader, she declined saying that she had better things to do with her time. That was all it took. Loaded up, drove to the dealer and am now the proud new owner of a Befco, 3-pt spreader. If it ever stops raining I'll get to use it ... I'm ready.

Now, if my coupon from TSC would just show up, I'm sure there is something else I "need". Perhaps a new herbicide sprayer with a 10' boom, no 8' boom and spray gun, for the yard and pasture. Hey, it'll be a bargain with 10% off. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I haven't had a heart attack since I have been married. My wife wants to keep me around to do all the projects that she has in mind for me. I keep making up my own projects and put them in front of hers. As to the snow, I have my own philosophy about that..... G-d put it there, let G-d take it away. I will give him a hand and move some of it, but he can do all the rest in all due time..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cool deal on the spreader. I'm thinking of using my 10% of coupon on a a 6' mower.. but just havn't made 'the decision' yet... Got the approval of the CFO yesterday.. actually here 'idea' so that I will be spending less time in the yard..

Actually it won't be less time.. it will just mean that I can now mow in 3rd range 1st gear and not 3rd range 3rd gear... and not have such a sore back afterwards..

really? Wouldn't 3rd/3rd be like 20 MPH? I usually mow in 2nd Range 2nd gear or If i want to hurry 2nd/3rd.

Soundguy,
"and not have such a sore back afterwards.."

I agree and wish these things had better suspension....

Maybe that'll be the next innovation on tractors ... suspension. JD already has the option of Triple Link Suspension on the front of some of their bigger ag tractors. I don't know how well it works but it's a nice thought.

My wife picked up the mail today and lo and behold, my 10% off coupon from TSC was there. Now what? ...... it's not worth anything unless I buy something ... right????? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

By the way, used my new spreader last night ... 200 pounds of fertillizer in a load, threw it out 30 feet. It can only be summed up in one word ... magic!!!!!.

On my NH1920.. 4th range and 3rd gear at more than pto rpms.. but less than max is about 20mph.. I also have a 1946 ford 2N with a sherman overdrive.. and if I wind it up to 2000-2200 rpms in 3rd gear high range.. it does high teens.. maybee 18 or so. Deffinately too fast with a tractor that uses straddle brakes and has no rps, seatbelt, and just a pan seat to set in..
