She's a keeper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing better than a wife with a gun, and knows how to use it. Except in my case, the wife is a better shot! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Rich -- Funny, but I can't imagine living in a city anymore! In fact, I go out of my way to avoid business trips since they always seem to go to cities! Between my time in the Marines, where I learned to shoot well, and the navy, where years on submarines left me with a craving for wide open spaces, I think my transition to country life was made possible by a good attitude and a very good woman.

What I can't figure out is why she, as a country girl, was content to live on the land but do nothing with it but let the weeds grow. Maybe too much work for a single person to handle? And she's content to put buckets under leaks in the roof, while I search for the source and repair it aggressively. Must be the submariner in me -- leaks were bad on the boats! And why is it that she's cold all the time, but I'm better at starting a fire in the woodstove? In fact, if she's cold all the time, why didn't she move to Florida ages ago?

Ah well, it's the quirks that make life special! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Oh, and the suggestion of taking the fox to a taxidermist? Did I mention her Terminator II style of shotgunning? We did salvage the tail, however. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pete,

I'm glad that when you saw your wife running around the
homestead with a shotgun your first concern was your Truck and Tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think you had better keep the Wifey. And keep her happy.
You don't want HER chasing YOU aournd the homestead like
a fox! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just a though! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Pete! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I told Jenny about Tamara's little "shooting spree". She asked me to pass on a message to her........

"You GO girl!" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pete, you just darn lucky she wasn't chasing you!!!!! I suppose next week we could be reading about you in the paper. You best stay on your good side now that you know she knows how to handle the 12 gauge. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Small wonder all of her role models are strong, cantankerous old women! Growing old with her is gonna be a blast! No pun intended!

Tell her "Good job".

Like you I was originally a city boy and don't miss it at ALL. I do wish my wife could shoot though, I've tried to teach her several times, but she just hates handling guns of any kind. Strange, she understands the necessity for them, especially living in the country, but doesn't want to have anything to do with them. I suppose that's safer than a friend of mine whose wife, who shoots better than both of us, told him just before they got married that she didn't believe in divorce, she believed in homicide. That boy has walked the straight and narrow for 20 years. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Some advice:

Answer her with "Yes Dear" or "No Dear" at all times.
