Maybe they should paint the post yellow or something so folks can see it.....

A real truck would have pushed that sign over and made it beg for mercy.
It was at Walmart. They had to cut the sign off and give it to the manager.

When she screws up, she does it pretty good. Oh well, that's why we got insurance

Those front bumpers are what we call...damage multipliers.

Cops said it happens alot. They addressed the issue to the store but basically comes down to money.

The bumper has its purpose and the the lower edge is graded out so the truck will slide over objects.

It's at the body shop and getting a new bumper (plus other parts) and they aren't sure they can find that particular bumper (they are worried structurally, even with a slow speed hit, it's jacked up). I just told them i want a solid full bumper.

About 15 years ago, I hit the same post two different times and crunched in the entire side of my brand new quad cab F150, and it happened just a few weeks apart, and after having been repaired from the first time. Ugh!

I ain't saying ONE word about it.... But here's a similar story...

About 25yrs ago we were building our log house. I was the GC and doing as much of the work as I could and contracting out what I couldn't. Anyway, I sent the missus to an electrical contractor store (I think it was called Shepherds) in Raleigh. she goes and gets a list of things I asked for, as she's leaving the backed into a yellow pole much like the one in your picture. It was standing in the middle of the parking lot can't tell what it was guarding but it was and had been for years...

Later that afternoon, I realized I had miscalculated on some supplies. I was working down the road and decided to run in there for the items. Yep... you may have guessed it by now. I too backed into the same post, same day but on MY vehicle not hers.

Luckily nothing was hurt much more than our pride on either one.

This thread is giving me deja vu, I can't figure out why.

That's why it's called an accident, rather than an intentional. To quote a TBN member's signature; "a serious accident is one which money can't fix."

This was just a an accident. Shidt happens, I got full coverage on the truck. No one was hurt.

Still playing the games as of an hour ago saying it's totalled. It's not. Cheap bastards want to pay cheap too much money has been put into that truck.

I told her tonight to go to the body shop tomorrow to ask what it would cost to have repairs all the way around and a color she wants.

The 6.4 is a hated engine, I understand that, but this one is all new (less than 30k )new heads, radiator, turbo, fuel pumps and I'm not saying they DPF is gone but somehow I got a straight pipe going out the back. Head studs. Almost bullet proof. Plus a rebuilt transmission

I'll spend the money on cosmetics

Chuck Norris would have ripped that sign out of the ground and beat the truck to death with it for running into that sign, then the truck would’ve apologized.
That was funny..
