Will I Ever See My DK45 Again?

I would make sure that you have all of your maintence records if you are going to fight the big guy, they must have reasoning behind their decsions. Are you sure the dealer didn't drag their feet on getting the info to KIOTI, there are always several reasons behind all decsions.
Just make sure that you have all of your t's crossed and i's dotted, i fought another company i was in your same situation they were going to provide me an engine about a $4000.00 dollar value and I would have to pay the repair costs which was $1500.00 dollars, just like you I was upset and tried to fight and was told that with out maintence records and verification of service that i could take their gracious offer or foot the bill completly myself.
I hated to swollow the $1500.00 repair bill.

If you read the Kioti warranty it says tractors are covered for 24 months from the date of purchase. Since yours is over three years old, I think it's pretty good of them to hand you a new engine when they really don't have to. To me 1800 in labor (including filling your tires) seems like a good deal considering you don't have to lift a single tool. I think you dodged a bullet.

3 years old and 800+ hours, I would take whatever they offer. Ask if they will cover the labor (due the the long downtime?), but don't be surprised if they say no.

You haven't told us if the tractor is under warranty or not. My tractor is just over 3 years old and when I bought it new it was with a 4 year warranty. So my pervious posts on this thread were with the assumption  that you have a 4 year warranty. If you do then I would think the labour should be covered but if not then they are being generous in giving you a new engine.
Let us know about the warranty. :)

Guys, It's simple. What warranty did your tractor have when you bought it 3 and a half years ago? Also, don't even try to collect for downtime. That is re of a dealer issue, not Kioti's.

if your tractor had a 2 yr. only warranty, then they are being more than fair.
Take it and be happy. Remember, it has 800 hrs.
