Will my tractor damage neighbor’s rototiller?

There is an excellent chance that the tiller will be damaged.

If not - why would implements be power rated.

Keep your neighbor as a friend - turn down his kind offer. The reason - you are concerned about damage to his tiller.

You want to till two areas that big - purchase your own tiller that matches your tractor.

I'll be honest, not really thought about it, but i assumed the power rating was to give an idea of the power needed to use the implement as it was designed. Like trying to use a 5' rough cut mower on a 20HP tractor, might be unsatisfactory experience for some.

When i did my garden, a neighbour offered to rotavate the lawn with his Kioti CK20 and cheap Italian tiller, if i was absolutely sure there were no stones and stumps. Rethinking this, i ended up renting a 3 meter tiller at the local contractor, who runs it in 1000rpm with 200hp. My 60hp had some work with it in 540, but the 1200kg tiller broke the bricks it found, instead of the other way around. I payd the contractor 20 euro for the tiller

Disc the ground first to loosen things up. We always disced first. Still using the same Long tiller and Im 51. Grandad, uncle, dad all used it too. Been around as long as I can remember.

Now, seen another guy that used just a tiller. He had gotten very good at replacing drive chain on it. It would snap the chain.

Check the local rental companies. I think you can rent one appropriate for your tractor.
