Another one of those; "If you need to ask the question you probably won't understand the answer" cases.

Hmmm...you could cut 3 more sections like in the pic, drill holes in the middle and make a Flintstone wagon with them wheels...

I have one like that. it is still alive and I hope it out lives me!

Beautiful tree, prolly planted well before the civil war and still going strong.

I'll be cutting it to stove length this week (hopefully). I haven't counted the rings yet...... but i will before i cut it up. Logic tells me the tree was planted about the time our house was built, about 1888. It was the third in a row of Sugar Maples..... two on my neighbors property, this one on mine. The first had to come down about five years ago. The middle tree is still standing tall at this point, though it has some issues. I was sad to see it go, but it was on a downhill slide the past few years. I plan to plant a replacement near where that one was.

Here's what happens when you don't deal with them early enough!

Yeah and Ductape would have to take his shoes off to sit in it and propel the thing. Ya don't need a stinky diesel when stinky feet will do...

Ummm..... Gunna have to use that husky saw ALOT to be able to lift that big thing. Here is a tool for such a thing Its the JD 648 G-III skidder I operate. Its a 45,000 lb. machine 165 hp equipped with a easco 212 swing grapple. And your tree looks like handfull for it:eek:

HaHa..no..You have a decent saw keep cutting..!

Be careful...you can bend the arms of the loader if you try to lift too much...

if you have the worlds worst designed loader and no functioning relief valve perhaps....

oh and the only way your tractor will lift that log is if its cut into tinny (what?) 400lb chunks....

Going to take heck of log splitter for those chunks. ;)

Nice all nighters for woodstove.
