Will Taking Care of Acreage Get Old?

After reading all these posts about getting tired of taking care of property as well as the "Stop and Smell the Roses" posts, I need to remind myself that it's not the goal....not the end result that I'm seeking but it's the journey...
I hope I never finish doing....
Learn to enjoy the journey...we should all hope that we have stuff that needs doing....

I'd like to add that it COULD get old if everything seems to be in need of repair including the equipment or tools (or person) needed to do the job. Keeping things in a reasonable functional state and having the tools (and enough time and money) to do the work is most of the battle.

I had one guy tell me to NEVER buy 10 to 20 acres; that you'll work yourself to death trying to maintain it and never succeed. He said to only buy 2 or 3 acres and you can maintain it, or else buy 100 acres or more and you'll maintain a couple of acres around the house and let the rest go./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
