Wow,
I would bet that with some modification,, it would work.
THe quick hitch may not fit the 2210, but, you may be able
to get the new quick hitch for the 2210... and incorporate the 2210 mid pto system,, and then adapt that snowblower to the
quick hitch. I think since it was designed for a Deere,, you should be ok with pto speed etc.. ?
anybody else think he'll be ok?

I agree with Dutch, and think it could be fabricated to work. I'd approach it with the mod to fit the quickhitch to the 2210, as it already fits the snowblower.
If the price is right, then some mods can be justified, IMO.
Good luck.

yes, it is an inspiring post. I have no skills or tools to make the mods myself. hoping that the price is right enough to pay a machine shop to work it out. or maybe it won't snow anymore this year? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I agree with that guy that the quick hitch isn't necesary. I dont have anything to use with the quick hitch anyways. can it be likened to the Imatch in that it's quick and easy for changing implements but not required? and by the way I told my dealer about members of TBN who have had great success modifying old blowers for their 2210's and he didn't' belive me until I emailed the post showing the blower on the 2210.

The dealer will get 'paid' to talk you into going with the Deere plow and attachment. He knows what side of the bread has butter on it.

If you don't have the knowledge to see how this fits onto your tractor with the modifications at least roughly in your head, I wouldn't suggest you load yourself down with it. If you know of a welder or fabricator in your area that you can talk to, who will say they will do it, then I'd be more encouraged to say go for it. I'd guess the cost to fabricate would be $250-300.

I'd personnaly go for a front blade on your tractor rather than a blower. But that also depends on your interest and expectations and experience in your kind of snow. Took me several years (37 of 'em) of trying different things, and I ended up with a front blade.

Looks like it may need more fabrication than what I had to do but I am sure it could be done. Easiest way may be to take the unit with your tractor to a welding shop so they could measure and fit as they go.

If you are REALLY serious about this one I probably live 5-10 miles from where it says it's at.

Just for reference, I paid $575 as I recall for the snowblower I converted and would describe it as good to very good condition.

studying the photos I would say that at the very least I would need a front pto shaft and the plate it mounts to in front, then mods as necesary to the two mounting plates.plus hydraulic hoses. the price is interesting but not worth the risk of driving 200+ miles to find out it may or may not work. thanks everyone.

captain's log, supplemental; the auction has progressed beyond the price I had in mind to be worthwhile for the risk/drive. Im guessing the mods would have been minimal but impossible to know.
