Around here I need a few swingin' cats to help with the mice, pocket gophers and wood rats. The neighbor has said he will be getting me three pure nasty barn cats. None too soon.
The prudent thing to do is eliminate the food or whatever environment that is attracting the unwanted species...(lazy people do not like this approach)Around here I need a few swingin' cats to help with the mice, pocket gophers and wood rats. It only makes no sense to someone that has some...BTW - /pine did you just sit on a splinter or fall on your head?? Everybody in this neck of the woods finds that cats are the most efficient method to control unwanted rodents. And - FYI - the rodents are here because I live out in the bush. I'm really sorry but your post simply makes no sense - - "shoot the cats".
One of these days you should update your viewer profile and let us all know where you are located - - maybe that's part of the problem.
In many states (New York for one) it is illegal to shoot cats, it is considered animal cruelty and will get you jail time if you get caught.Using invasive, non native predators to eradicate unwanted native wildlife is idiotic at best and may be illegal... if the cats you harbor do not have up to date rabies etc. vaccine it is criminal in most places...
Don't be lazy...shoot the cats...!
Any cat etc. that is given food or shelter is the responsibility of the giver and that responsibility also covers keeping said animals up to date on required vaccines and inoculations etc...which refraining from is actually a harsher cruelty than euthanizing...In many states (New York for one) it is illegal to shoot cats, it is considered animal cruelty and will get you jail time if you get caught.
