"OK, wanna stir somethin up, why do Kub Loader dscv s look like they were plumbed as an afterthought? Why don't they mount the stick on the tbottem side of the the ROPs top?"

Because the loader has more power then the 430, because the loader has much more steel in it and there was no room left, because the joystick is at a optimium location, I don't know why Kubota chose to make the hoses so easily accessable. What ever the reason, we all love it and would'nt want it any other way. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

OK, I'll change my little JD sign now to the little plus sign. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: Will you Yellow bottoms ever exceed NH\'s posts for

I'll jump back in on this. . .

OBJECTIVELY, I think that JD is getting better with their large loaders now that some of the bigger machines have the curved loader arms available. HOWEVER, the curved arms are SUPPOSED to be a FUNCTIONAL addition to increase the visibility of the bucket and the load.

Take a careful look at the placement of the loader arms and their slope forward. From the drivers seat, a normal size male would not be able to see the top edge of the bucket. The slope of the loader arm is not severe enough to allow for the visibility that is achieved with the NH "LA" series loaders. The point of the curved arms is to see the bucket, in fact it is to see A LOT of the bucket. I applaud JD for the improvement of their old design, but they have more improving to do. I presume that JD will bring a version of their curved loader arms out for the smaller & mid sized CUTs; the questin is will it be the same cosmetic curve on the 400x loader or will it be a real design improvement?

It appears that JD has their loader designed to follow the curve of their hood when the bucket is down. On my NH loader, the arms are well below the hood when the bucket is at rest and sloping severly toward the back edge of the bucket so when scooping or digging material, I can actually see most of the bucket, not just get a quick glimpse of the top edge.

For anyone who has ever driven an articulated loader you know how much easier it is to do the job, and how much more productive you are when you can ACTUALLY see what you are picking up. A conventional tractor will never compete with an articulated machine for productivity, but there are better and worse designs. As of now, NH is the objective winner in loader arm design.

As for the back hoes, I will honestly plead ignorance as I simply do not know.

Re: Will you Yellow bottoms ever exceed NH\'s posts for

The new loader and tractor are OK, but the new hoe is an A+. I draw my conclusion from the pictures you presented. I have yet to see a hoe for a compact as nice as the one you have shown. If it works as nice as the picture details it to be, it would have to be the best. The new tractor style is probably one of those things that needs to grow on you. It looks a little like a extra big ride on mower. That in no way means there is a thing bad about it, it's just my first impression. It's like when Dodge came out with the new style truck. I heard all the talk about big, brawny, Arnold on steroids like and when I saw it, sheeesh, big deal. It's like seeing a movie that was over done by the reviewer. Now that the Dodge has been around, I like it.

Re: Will you Yellow bottoms ever exceed NH\'s posts for

Bob, I have to (conditionally) beg to agree with you. as Woodbeef posted, the pictures COULD be deceiving. We shall see, but I bet you're right!

But, truth is. I was planning on a TC35D when I was shopping. I comparison drove the Deere, just for reference. I got to use the loaders in test drives, and chose the Deere. I then looked very carefully, and didn't think there was actually that much difference in the visibility. But that is a Large vs. mid frame comparison. But there was no 12LA or 14LA then...

RatMan, right on, that hoe looks terrific. Do NOT show that to my wife!!!

OK folks, the real news, to me on both the CNH and Deere loaders is the new grease zerks!

Re: Will you Yellow bottoms ever exceed NH\'s posts for

Mrs. MCloskey, Mrs. MCloskey, John Deere has a new hoe out that would look quite nice on your Club 4310, you might want to see about twisiting #2's arm a little. Someone also said they are using new zerks instead of used ones. Something about CNH. I'm confused on that one. (Canadian Ham?). At any rate, you have my blessing to purchase the new hoe design. I'm hoping it can be painted orange and still fit on my Kubota. I like it! Sir King Rat...
