When i had my truck stuck where my tractor wouldnt pull it out: We were placing gravel from a 7ton dump trailer in my barn yard with my lifted 3500 dodge dully. My barn yard has a steep hill for an entrance going down into the barnyard. While waiting for me to move the tractor a break line broke on the truck shoving it into the barn yard and up past the bottom of the doors into the mud. I almost got the truck out until the trailer hit a hole and the truck tires filled with mud and it was done and over with at that point. So i hooked my 1650 oliver with chains on to the front of the truck and all i did was sit there and spin.
The corner gate post of another gate in my barnyard is a 12inch post. I hooked up a 20,000 pound tow strap to the post, ran about 30feet of chain out so i could do a double line pull with my snatch block. Took about 2mins, stopping to make sure i didnt over heat the winch to pull out the entire rig.
Also, my oliver weighs in at about 8,000 pounds with my wheel weights and loader and front weights. Now my 806 is over 10,000. I have had both tractors burried up to their frames in either snow or mud. This winter my 806 was up past the frame in a snow drift that i was trying to move so i could feed cattle. Then after the snow melted, i had to take and pick up a bale feeder with the loader. The front wheels went over the bank in the barn yard. Well needless to say i couldnt stop and down the hill i went. When i got off of the tractor the mud was up over my knees. Had to use the winch to get the poor tractor out both times.
Btw i have a 9000i superwinch and i love it. As long as you are pulling straight unless you rip your frame apart which i doubt you do, you shouldnt bend your frame. Its if you are pulling sideways will you bend something.
