Well, I hope they're not big logs - or you won't be able to winch them from a 3000 pound stationary tractor. Otherwise the tractor will have to be moving forward while the winch is reeling in. You're adding the 2425's seven thousand pounds of tractive force as a (moving) anchor for the 8000# winch.
I say forward, because the R1 tires are directional. That means the winch would have to be on the rear. If you front mounted it, you'd have to reverse the tires so the lugs are facing the other direction. Then you'd have to change them back to use the tractor for conventional ag work.
