It was was brought up here before, something you might want to consider is a ductless split mini system.
Condenser sits outside, run a line set to your evaporator that can either mount on a wall, ceiling recessed (sp?), floor mounted or ceiling suspended. Can either go with straight A/C, Heat pump and one that even can use propane for heat.
Pros are that it looks really good, usually comes with a remote if the evaporator coil sits high on a wall, only have to drill a hole for the lineset to connect the units, you leave it in place, don't have to remove it.
The only con is that they can be much more than a window unit.
