I agree with you, Moss, Carharts are the best. I have a long Carhart coat, and had a pair of Carhart overalls for years, and they were the warmest. But I got my Carhart overalls covered with oil, tranmission fluid and hydraulic fluid when I helped my buddy work on his tractor last winter. They just stunk so bad, I had to get rid of them. My buddy took me to TSC to get a new pair of overalls, and they didn't have my size in Carhart, but they did have my size in their new TSC brand, Schmidts. Ya know, I like the Schmidts just as much as the Carharts, and they're a lot cheaper. They're just as warm, too!!

One other thing, it is always better to be a little cold, than to be a little warm.

If you sweat, you will get cold, period.

BELEIVE IT OR NOT you can be comfortable at 63 or 65 deg, just put on a good pair of long johns, and your set to go. when the kids come home we have to turn the heat up, but then our bedroom louver gets shut off, we are just used to cool temps. mabey this shoud be a nother thread but how many of you guys remember living in an old farmhouse, with only a wood stove downstairs , and the upstairs bed rooms being a cool 45 deg, with ice on the windows, that you could scrape off with your finger nails?
