For snow blowing: A balaclava hood with ski goggles. Absolutely no skin exposed, except maybe nostrils.

Just like being inside a cab! :D

Another Northern New Yorker! We are near Ogdensburg,so the same winter conditions. After spending 25 years in construction working out-side year round;my current tractor has a cab.I will bundle up for deer hunting and sit for hours but not for moving snow.

I bought a pair of Red Ball Polar Extreme Diamond boots figuring I would stay out longer. I never even tried them as I never plan on being outside very long. They are still in the box in the closet.

Exactly ruffdog, exactly. If its so cold outside that I need my full Eddie Bauer down outfit - what the hey, I stay inside and have another hot chocolate. With a little JD. Looking out my big bay window gives me all the cold wx experience I need or want when its that cold.

I have some Kamik and Wolverine -100F boots that I use when it's 20F or lower, I also use a pair of "hot hands" insole warmers, they are incredible. I keep hand warmers in the pockets of my jacket to stick my hands in there once in a while if it's really cold.. The insole warmers are a life saver, I like to move snow at night because by evening I get pretty bored.

I don't know the name brand of my boots. Just 1/8" of neoprene and rated for -32 or something like that. Heck, you could wear them barefoot.

Now being 75, tempeture extremes on both ends of the spectrum are becoming more difficult but cold is easier to deal with than extreme heat.
My winter wardrobe as others have stated, consists of attic weight (black lined) Carhart bibs, hooded jacket, neoprene boots, scarf if necessary, and leather gloves. I prefer flannel lined jeans, lined L. L. Bean long sleeved shirts and smart wool socks. Depending on the wind, sunshine, or activity, I may substitute the jacket for a Carhart vest or in very cold, windy conditions ditch the jacket in lieu of my Eddie Bauer B-9 down parka
Changed my snow removal gear from a 3PH blower to a FEL mounted snow blade so no longer fighting the man made blizzard with an open station tractor

Ha, ha, ha - I tried heated motorcycle gear - on my motorcycle. I saved $65 and did not get the thermostat. BIG, BIG mistake. I thought it was going to char broil me before I could find a spot to pull over and turn off/unplug the gear. I returned the gear - did not like the way it felt when it got warm - adding a layer of Polartech was almost as good and a whole lot more comfortable.

Besides - when things get so cold riding a motorcycle that you need heated gear - chances are pretty good that there are more important things to worry about. Like frost and ice in the shaded corners. I experienced the stability control(SCS) and traction control(TCS) systems both activate on my BMW R1200GSA. Talk about biting holes in the seat cover - -

Snowmobile suit and a plug-in helmet.. That’s what I would wear in an open station.
