Here we go again. Sunday in mid 60's. Worked in garden. Planted onions. Monday high in low 20's. Freezing rain, sleet, snow, accompanied by thunder & lighting. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif About 2-3" sleet on the ground. Tonight prediction is for freezing rain. Then they say it will warm up and we will have thunderstorms. Wish it would make up it's mind. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

AR got the same... 2-3" of mostly snow, some ice... Was in the 50's last week... This is the worst winter in probably 10 years... I'm really getting sick of snow.

No snow down my way (North of Houston). But the ground has not been dry all winter. Puddles everywhere. The tractor pretty much stays parked. I'll trade you some mud for some snow for the kids.

I couldn't get in the barn to feed the llamas. The sleet was so thick it covered the bottom of the gate. Had to crawl over the fence and get the shovel out to break it up and move enough out of the way to open the gate. ARGH! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif White stuff, I just hate it, if I had wanted white stuff I would move to Vermont /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Hey that not a bad idea, move to Vermont, summer time in Vermont all year long, if only it didn't ever snow up there /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Give it a couple days and I'll have plenty of mud. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif My side yard is already squishy...

Weathermen?? Or weatherguessers?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif They said it would warm up a little and turn to rain. Well it turned to rain alright, but it is in the 20's. Actually a light drizzle. Now everything has a glaze over the ice that was already there. A skating rink this morning. Oh well. Saturday is March. Surely spring can't be too far away. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Yep, sure looks like a sheet of ice on everything outside. I didn't get outdoors at all yesterday and don't think I will today either. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I took the wife to work this morning. It's about a twenty mile one way trip. The main roads, HWY 78, Beltline, etc had dry or at least non-icey tracks where the posted speed limit was plausible if alone.

I say if alone because there is the usual conflict between the two extremes of one going too slow for conditions and those going too fast. It happens in the fog, the rain, snow, and especially on icey roads.

I saw at least four pickemups that had backed out of their driveway and then stuck against the opposite curb, blocking half the road. I was in the Bravada and had intentionally not taken the big tow straps that I carry on the truck. Someone that stupid is best left alone as close to home as possible.

The weatherbug says it's thirty degrees down the road at the high school. I believe it. It appears to me there is a layer of ice just floating above the pavement. A little sunshine and we will have more slush and ickypoo than icey road even if it stays below thirty two degrees.

At least we didn't have a whole bunch of spinouts. I guess the warnings on the news and telly sank in a bit.

Maybe I'll get some work done today.

I live just North of you in Krum. I didn't get out yesterday except to get the mail. I went out this morning to get the paper and it is slicker today than yesterday. I didn't go to work yesterday and I don't think I'll go today unless I get a call.
I guess I will order a JD 2210 today, I can do that over the phone. I just need to see if I can lower the price a little more.
