Well the weather gods decided to bless us with more ice/sleet type stuff last night. Since I've got the day off, I may dig out the bronco and go get the mail. Otherwise, I'm staying home...
Yeah, my uncle just e-mailed some pictures of the ice and icicles in his yard in south Arkansas. I guess a lot of folks would think I am nuts but I wish I was up there to enjoy it. It would beat the heck out of all the rain we are getting here in southeast TX. I have vegetated for the past two days because of the wet and cold. If I was visiting the folks back home at least I could ride my fourwheeler without worrying about getting wet! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Sorry about your weather, where I live the weather has been splendid, delightful really, in fact fabulous might be a better way to describe it. I won't plant much of anything though until April. The tractors have pretty much been used all winter long. While we don't get any snow and freezing weather is rare, just up the hill from me it typically gets over 200" of snowfall each year. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
This afternoon I went out and "de-iced" the windows of our vehicles and took the Bronco to fill up for the week. The street was icey, but It didn't seem that bad as I pulled out and eased up the hill. (in 2wd) I don't get in a hurry on ice because your not gonna move fast anyway. I got gas and headed back to the house. I pulled on my street and my neighbor's Contour was spinning helplessly in the street. I waited while she backed all the way down the hill to get a running start. I pulled in my drive with my ponderous old truck and watched the show. She made it with much spinning and sliding. Some people just shouldn't drive on this stuff.
