I decided to clean and paint the underneath of my deck (RCK60-24B) since it's been 5 years since new and its starting to rust in a few places. I used that Valspar Tractor & Implement paint from TSC. I wanted to get it really clean so I could apply that Mo-Deck spray from TSC to keep the grass from sticking too. This was a winter project to get everything ready for spring. Here are some before and after pictures.

Really doesn't look too bad after 5 years of dampness and work. Very nice paint job though and good to keep the rust in check..

Thanks guys. All I need to do now is sharpen the blades and get her greased up. I would love to base coat clear coat the entire tractor, deck, and FEL. For as much money as this thing (B7610) costs it should have come with a much better paint job.

That looks great. Was it a spray paint or brush application?

I agree! Everything else is very well made you would think they wouldn't have scrimped on the finish.

Does the graphite paint help keep the deck clear through the cutting season? Where do you buy the paint?

I'll put it like this. Some stuff sticks, but it comes off pretty easily with the graphite. That stuff is pretty slick. Any coating to keep the wet grass from starting a rust spot whether it be regular paint or graphite. Keep in mind that if you have sandy soil, no deck paint has a chance.

I like it for lubrication of parts where I don't want a mess with dirt etc. from sticking.

It can be had at most farm stores.

Looks good. I wanted the whole underneath Teflon coated, but I knew that wasn't going to happen. Anything is better than nothing. I'd hate to know what replacement cost would be on a new deck shell.
