I have a BX 2230 with 6 hrs on it. Love it so far. I have the BX 2750 snowblower so I will be using it all winter in the western mountains of Maine. I will store it in an unheated garage and I have a block heater. I have every intention of going to synthetic oil at the 50 hour service, but I don't really like the idea of going into our cold winters with whatever oil Kubota puts in at the factory. I would prefer to have a 0W30 synthetic in there for my COLD weather. I have always been told to shy away from the synthetics until your engine is well broken in, so that everything seats well. Should I just leave the factory oil (prob dino 10W30?) until my 50 hour service or make the change now?

I also find it interesting that although I have heard many times to let your engine break in first, the back of Mobil 1 talks about a list of high-end manufacturers that put it in vehicles from the factory.

BX 2230, 60" MMM, 50" BX 2750

You really should resist the urge to post the same thing in two forums…Gets hard to keep track of responses /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif… see reply in your first post at ‘Kubota Owning/Operating’… KennyV.
