I have a BX 2230 with 6 hrs on it. Love it so far. I have the BX 2750 snowblower so I will be using it all winter in the western mountains of Maine. I will store it in an unheated garage and I have a block heater. I have every intention of going to synthetic oil at the 50 hour service, but I don't really like the idea of going into our cold winters with whatever oil Kubota puts in at the factory. I would prefer to have a 0W30 synthetic in there for my COLD weather. I have always been told to shy away from the synthetics until your engine is well broken in, so that everything seats well. Should I just leave the factory oil (prob dino 10W30?) until my 50 hour service or make the change now?

I also find it interesting that although I have heard many times to let your engine break in first, the back of Mobil 1 talks about a list of high-end manufacturers that put it in vehicles from the factory.
