wires next to head light plug??

I have a L3410 and was hooking up some extra lights on the front of it, while I had the front nose piece off, I notice two extra wires next to the plug for the head lights. One wire has a male end and the other has a female end. The female has power with the key in the run position but seems to have lower than 12 volts (Test light glowed about half as bright than when hooked straight to the battery). I haven't checked it with a multimeter yet just a test light. Just wondering if any knew what this was for?

I am not sure - but maybe running or park lights of some sort ?

Possibly, I'm going to check the voltage with a meter today and see what I come up with. I'll post back.

OK here is a quick update.

I tested the wires with a meter and am getting 12 volts to the blue wire with the female bullet connector ( with the key in the run position), and the black with with the male bullet seems to be a ground.

The white plug on the right is the headlights, the one circled is the one in question.

I think you clean the debris from your radiator. What does the temperature gage read?

Yes I do, I had been bush hogging a few weeks ago and just have not cleaned it out. As for the temp it is running fine. I'm sure in warmer weather it would have been starting to run a little warm.
