wiring a 12v electric over hydraulic unit???

I would plan on replacing those 2 'unused' wires with some small starter cable.

They'll work OK for bench testing this setup, but put the system under any load and they'll become heater wires !

Pretty simple stuff, what part isn't clear ?

can you put a meter on the wires on the back of the switch and tell me where the colors go to 1-2-3-4-5-6

the other thing IM concerned about is a broken wire around the switch usually they break right at the strain relief connector what I do is pull on each wire with a decent amount of pressure and you will see the insulation stretch ,from the first test you did told me that at least 2 of the wires are good but could be in wrong place
hyd valve motor solenoid
1 2
3------jumper----4-------feed
5 not used 6 jumper to2

Kentrac, I'm sorry but I can't get to the back of the switch without cutting the thing open. The most I could expose at the back was in the picture and showed the 3 wires going into the back and that was it. It is thermally bonded or expoy'd or something. I will attempt testing the wires through the connector with my multitester.

Did you see the diagram Will posted a couple spots above? Since we can't get in the switch should I give that a go? The only thing he left out was the blue and black wires from the loom.

The blue and black wires are the main feeds those wires should be bigger
and you asked about a main switch before get a main battery switch that they use on a dozer

Yeah, I know for you guys this might be simple but I have electrical dyslexia. LOL. And my pop calls a plumber to adjust a toilet bowl float so I got no instruction on stuff growing up. Thanks for the help.

Sincerely,

I HAVE IT WORKING CORRECTLY NOW! I carefully cut the insulation away a miniscule bit to be able to insert the probe of the multi-tester where I couldn't get to a terminal end. After testing the 3 wires at both ends of the plugged in harness I found the white from the switch which goes to the yellow green wire end wasn't showing the same reading as the other two wires tested. I inspected the 3 socket plug which appeared clean and straight and seated it very firmly this time with a little more intent than usual and got a good reading. Then I went ahead and used a wire brush on all other terminal end connecting loops and the male prongs on the relay and hookd up my black to GRD and blue to POS. Nothing happened which was good! I hit the up then down and got the cylinder to react and then shut off when the switch returned to center each time.

I want to thank everyone, especially Kentrac, for their help and time. I need Kentrac's address and what he charges per hour for labor, HA HA.

This novice is still a novice but learned a few things from this. Thank You.
