That is a last resort but your right I may have to do it. I have also been thinking about disconecting all wires and then only reconect what is needed to operate the engine and since it is a desiel it may be another option either way it will be frustrating. Thanks.
Did you get this sorted? Start circuit is actually pretty simple although the exact detail will depend on your exact key switch. My switch has four positions, Off, On, Heat and Start. Off is fully anti clockwise. Heat and Start are spring loaded back. Moving to the back of the switch there are four terminals, (1) is Live with 12V from the main fuse or ammeter. (2) supplies instruments and other stuff that only works when the switch is On. (3) is Heat and (4) is start. Start is a fairly heavy cable running down to the solenoid on the starter motor.I have decided to look for a simple start circuit. The owners manual has no valid information so I am looking for a diagram of the barebones start circuit. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks.
