I am in the middle of a very serious rebuild of my electrical wiring that includes switching from 6 volt series to 12 volt parallel and cleaning up all gang plugs and reestablishing the factory norms on all things such as the air clwaner warning light on the dash. (Actually, it is a pure miracle this thing continued to crank and start. So, now I am at that place where I just need to make sure the whole thing is coming together. I have now had way too much of it apart.

Attaching to 12V batteries in parallel is simple. Attach both positive battery cables to large post on starter solenoid and both ground battery cables to starter mounting bolt.
