I did a 3 year ground-up restoration on my E-Type Jag, so I know how much work went into yours - you did a fabulous job. Hope you get your price!
What's your next project?

What year Jag. I drove what I think was a 66 model back in the late 70's. A friend had bought it and fixed it back up (not restored, just paint and engine work). At 21 years old though that was a trip to even get to sit in one much less drive it. Etype coupe if my memory is right. I could have bought it for 2000.00, but my insurance man at the time died laughing when I asked about insurance on it.

Mine is a 69, series 2 coupe. Insurance years ago wasn't that bad in KC, cause I knew a couple of young guys who had them - as long as your driving record was OK. I had a Ferrari Dino in the mid 70's, I was in my mid 20's then, insurance was $350/6months, full coverage. Here's a pic from my wedding night in 94, still have the car - and the wife!

Von,
Sorry to see the Unimog go, but thanks so much for the great photos and read. A very fine job, indeed. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! With a tear in my eye I watched as the new owner hauled the Unimog away this morning! It is headed to New Jersey on a trailer as I type this! I got what I wanted for the truck and he got more than his money's worth! I hope we will both be happy.

Now I have to go dig a hole in the back yard!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Von

Got another project lined up yet... besides digging the hole in the backyard? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
