Here we are putting on the 2nd piece of ridge vent. It started to get windy right aftter this photo & we had to come down & work on lower "stuff". You'll see that we are tied off. If you look close you'll see my daughters cat has climbed up on the roof to inspect the works. Truly, she was not that much help!

Finishing the 2nd piece of ridge cap, You'll see the top of the cat's tail to the left of us. She got bored & decided to wander around the roof for a while. She eventually came down w/us when we bugged out due to the wind.

If the weather allows we hope to get the remaiing ridge cap & roofing finished tomorrow. If it gets too windy we have a fall back plan to work on the end wall siding around the big rolling doors.

I wish they would have done the insulation like that on my barn.

The insulation makes installing the metal a little mor ecomplicated but I believe the payback will be worth it. Particularly in that it should stop the condensation rain during our hot humid summer months. We lapped all insulation edges a lapped a minimum of 3" and sealed w/a special aluminum foil type tape.

Cutting the roof rake angle on a long sheet. Using a previously cut piece as a guide to get the angle quick & right.
