Wny not New Holland

Two things I didn't like about NH:

1) they are noisy. I ended up wearing earplugs when running the tractor.

2) NH has a poor turning radius. They apparently have a reputation for needing a 40 acre field to turn around in (exageration). But seriously, my Kubota turn in a lot shorter distance. This can be important when mowing and you end up needing 100' to turn around.

I agree about good dealers being important. The two dealers I work with carry both Kubota and NH.

Very few things in life are always true. One of them is that blanket statements are always false. New Holland like Kubota makes many models of tractors. Many are better than the comparable Kubota model.

I have a T1520. A good tractor - simple design, geared transmission, does what I need on 15 acres. Being in Texas, I've got plenty of room to turn around.

This is a purely "seat of the pants" opinion. NH is a working tractor. I think it's fit and finish is not top drawer and the little things don't look to be done as well. It will do a fine job but I would not pay as much for it as green or orange.
