Women talk more than Men

Apparently....the Univ. of Maryland completed a study that proves women talk more than men. The study proclaims that women use 20,000 words per day and men about 7,000. They actually had to study that? They should have just visited my house about 18 years ago when my daughters were teenagers growing up. Spending 5 minutes in our home and listening to our girls and my wife could have saved them years of research and money.:laughing:

Study: Men Talk Just as Much as Women : NPR

Some studies show that, when separate, men and women talk about the same amount, but when women and men are together, women talk much less than men (related to social status). Another study showed that when females were explicitly given equal talking time in a class, male students perceived them as talking much more than 50% of the time.

When we lived in caves the men were out hunting and didn't say much so they wouldn't scare the prey away. Back at the cave, the women didn't have anything to do except sit around and gossip all day. Some things just never change.

I told the old timey woman about this thread, and you know what, she used all of her 20,000 up in about 15 min. She even use up most for tomorrow. GREAT, quite day tomorrow!!!!
