Won’t start after getting stuck in mud.

The OP hasn't been back on the site since Jan 5th. Looks like he joined just to post the question and must have gotten it fixed so he left.

Unfortunately I didn’t get it fixed but when the dealer’s technician comes out I will let you guys know. This is my first tractor so I will definitely be using this wealth of info on the site and I’m sure I’ll have more questions in the future. And I really appreciate everyone’s tips to try and figure this out in my own. Is there an app for this site? All the notifications I got in my email were buried in tons of junk mail. I just so happened to see an email this morning about a comment.

Like yours mine would not start and after several days looking for the problem I found a loose wire on safety switch under the seat, also on mine the seat belt has to be engaged or it wont start.

I can’t really figure out how to get under the seat in my cab model but I do see the wires behind the seat and they look ok.

On both of my LS tractors, I often get stuff stuck in the pedal safety switch (which is under the tractor). Then the tractor won't even turn over. Now it's the first spot I check.

I rinsed under the tractor incase there was mud affecting any contact. I’ve looked under there and don’t see anything obviously unconnected or anything stuck. I’m not sure exactly where the pedal safety switch is but I’ve looked under the area of the pedals and don’t see anything stuck. I bought the maintenance manual for the tractor hoping I could figure it out in my own but no such luck. Is there anyway you could take a picture of where the pedal safety switch is? I know it’s cold everywhere so I totally understand if you can’t right now! I have the HST model if that makes a difference.

As a rule of thumb, remember that, if mud contains a significant amount of iron, it can cause a short circuit, esp. when wet, but even when dry. I had mud wasps build a nest inside one of my brush cutters. It wouldn't start & I even wore out the pull cord trying. In replacing the pull cord I discovered the wasp nest & removed it. The thing started right up & ran fine thereafter.

Another way to help get out ot if stuck is use your front end loader to put your bucket out semi open and roll the bucket in with the tractor pulling , the bucket has helped me out of a bog more times than 4 wd. I know this is no help with the no start but it will be a tremendous help when stuck.

Finally got the dealers technician out and they were not able to figure it out onsite so they are bringing it in to the shop. I will update when I have the answer. Onsite he was unable to bypass the starter. There was an IMV error code.

Oh my, sounds like you really did need the dealers help with this one.

I'm sure we will all be interested to hear what the resolution is.

It was the neutral safety switch. He said there are 2 and one had to be replaced under warranty. The IMV was fine and the safety switch caused that error.

Just coincidence that it happened after being stuck? If they are warranting it then it probably wasn't damaged.
