Some info, CK4010SE , 40hp lift capacity 1930 lbs. Backhoe on tractor. Wood box 42hx48wx48d. Would rather keep backhoe on for ballast. Have 6 of these boxes made and full. My plan was to store them in the big barn and take them into the garage as needed. Still have a few more to make and fill so taking some wood out of the full ones might work with quick hitch forks instead of the clamp on ones. Thanks for the suggestions.

Google says a cord of seasoned wood weighs 2000 to 3500lbs (128 cu. Ft.). Dry / Green weight table

Your 56 cu.ft. might weigh 1500lbs - a guess. SSQA Forks will work way better than clamp on forks lifting that kind of weight, and you have a backhoe (900lb) for counter balance. Your quoted lift capacity is at the pins, but this load will average 2 feet out on forks so you may have reduce the amount of wood slightly even with SSQA forks. Hopefully someone else doing exactly the same think can confirm.

Maybe your Kioti dealer would let you test a set of forks. Any neighbors with a set? Moving wood into you garage on pallets as needed this winter will reduce handling soooo much. I'd go for it.

My Branson 3725's loader has a listed capacity of 2100 lbs at full height. It will lift an IBC tote cage full of just split hardwood without issue though I have not tried lifting it to full height. I'm using SSQA forks from palletforks.com. An IBC tote cage is about the same size as your boxes.

If all else fails, get a couple of straps,
run them under your boxes and then bring your loader in over the boxes,
(remove your bucket first) then using the straps fasten onto the torque tube (cross member) on your loader.
You should be able to easily lift your boxes then.

Very good idea.

BTW, I Use IBC totes to carry wood and SSQA pallet forks with no problems but my lift capacity is higher. 2700 at the pins.

I made some carriers out of cut down pallets. Better off using something 32" deep (two rows of wood) so the load is closer to the pins. Increase height to what your loader will safely handle. I went 60" with the scraps I had, but can go higher.
