Ok i bench tested the starter and it spun, if i let,it spin for 10 seconds the starter is hot to the touch and the cables get red hot at the contacts ( using jumper cables) is this a bad starter?
Update. I just installed the starter and tried to start it using jumper cables from the battery directly to the starter. It spun 2 revolutions and then stopped and melted my cables. So the motor is not siezed as i can reach in and feel the flywheel moving when i pull on the belt. Im thinking this has to be a bad starter. it works fine on the bench but when its loaded with the motor than it just struggles for a second and heats way up. Do you agree? Bad Starter?
