Won't take greese!

Well here is an update. Peter, I have one of those tools you are talking about. It didn't work unfortunatly. It just squirted out the side, even with the new fitting. I had called Terry and he said heating it should work. Well I tried that and got it flowing. Unfortunatly, the greese is coming out the other side. Now almost what ever I do the Greese will follow the path of least resistance. The bucket was creaking real bad before any of this and it was quite a bit better, but not fixed. I sprayed a lot of WD40 on the clogged side while it was hot and it finally stopped creaking. Anymore ideas?

I think that I would remove the cylinder and the linkage to the tilt assembly, and move the tilt arm by hand to get a feel if the rod is bent. If it is bent, it may block some grease fittings. If it is bent, there is not a whole lot you can do, except use it until it jams up like mine. Mine jammed up so bad, that I had to replace the pin and roll over assembly. Just keep it greased up if you can. A bent rod is usually caused by putting undue pressure on the top of the quick-attach plate, like when you run the bucket into a pile of dirt really hard.

I had concerns about it being slightly bent, and while I don't know for sure, I feel pretty good about the way it is working now. I think it is gummed up grease because when I took out the fitting it was plugged with old grease and so was the hole (which I of course removed). I still can't get grease to come out the one side, but the WD40 is keeping that creaking noise at bay and seems to be working smoothly. But I will do what you said JJ if I feel it is needed. I also like KentT's idea about the hase clamp to try to force it out the other side. Thanks for the ideas everyone and of course welcome anymore.

Always when you start servicing the curl do the grease zerk that won't take the grease first. Put wd40 or the like in that side and then pump grease in it, sooner or later it should take grease hopefully.

an update. Well I kept at it. Every time I greased it and curled the bucket, and kept hitting it with WD40 when ever I thought of it. Well today grease started coming out the blocked side. Thanks to everone for the ideas.
